Who we are
Third Place is a product of MAK Software Solutions, a company registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. When you use this site or join our waitlist, you are sharing data with us. This note explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
What we collect and why
Email address. When you join the waitlist we collect your email to send a confirmation link and, once confirmed, our fortnightly update. We send at most two emails per month. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
City. We ask which city you are in so we can notify you when Third Place launches near you. This is optional context — it does not affect your place on the waitlist.
IP address (hashed). We store a daily one-way hash of your IP address purely to prevent spam signups. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP. It is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how people use this site — which sections they read, where they drop off, whether the form works. We do not track individual users across sessions. All analytics respect the Do Not Track browser header. No data is sold or shared with advertisers.
How long we keep your data
Unconfirmed waitlist signups are automatically deleted after 7 days. Confirmed signups are kept until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, your email is removed from all mailing lists within 48 hours. We may retain an anonymised record (no email, no city, no IP) for aggregate statistics.
Third-party services
We use Brevo (EU servers) to send email, Supabase (US servers) to store waitlist data, and PostHog (EU Cloud) for analytics. None of these providers sell your data. Brevo is GDPR-compliant. Your email address is not used by any of these providers for their own marketing.
Your rights under DPDP Act 2023
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, and to request erasure. Email us at hello@the3rdplaceapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. GDPR rights apply for EU/UK users via the same address.
Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies. PostHog sets one first-party cookie to distinguish unique visits with no cross-site tracking. There are no advertising cookies on this site.
